Deep Tissue Massage - 30 minutes

Service Description

Deep tissue massage is a technique that concentrates on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, often used to treat musculoskeletal issues such as strains. The purpose of this technique is to lengthen, relax and release strain patterns within the muscles; it may also promote faster healing of muscles by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation. I will use a combination of slow strokes and deep pressure by using my fingers, knuckles, hands and forearms on tight places either following or going across the fibres of the muscles. Trigger points are also often used. As opposed to other massage techniques, deep tissue massage concentrates on the certain parts of the body that are strained; therefore, it is not unusual to have a session that concentrates fully on the lower back, neck or shoulder. More information can be found in the frequently asked questions page. *Essential oils can be added to this treatment for an additional £3 *Complimentary drink offered at the end of every treatment.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice and 'no shows' will be charged at 100% of the treatment cost. This is because I may not be able to fill your appointment slot and still need to cover my costs. Please cancel as soon as possible if a foreseeable event is likely to prevent you from attending, for example, illness or adverse weather conditions. If you need to cancel your appointment at short notice, because of a long-term medical condition which varies from day to day, then we shall discuss the cost implications on a case by case basis. An invoice for any cancellation / ‘no show’ charges will be sent to you by email for payment by bank transfer within 7 days. Following a cancellation, payment must be received before any further massage bookings can be taken. It is important that our agreed appointment time and duration is adhered to. I appreciate that sometimes things happen and that you may arrive a little later or need to leave a bit earlier than planned. This is fine, but I cannot make up the missed time by overrunning or adding time to subsequent appointments.
