Embodied Armouring Workshop
19 & 20 September 2026
What is somatic armouring?
Somatic armouring refers to the ways our bodies learn to protect us after difficult or overwhelming experiences. Over time, the body may tighten, brace, numb, or hold certain areas as a way of staying safe. These patterns aren’t something we choose consciously; they develop naturally as survival strategies that once helped us cope. Somatic armouring lives in the whole of us: body, emotions, and thoughts together.

Who is this workshop for?
Folk who know they want to have a good time and go a little deeper too. This workshop welcomes play, fun, and gentleness within a safe, supportive container for curious self-inquiry and connection. It’s designed for anyone interested in exploring their inner world while also relating authentically with others.

Meet your facilitators

"I'm beyond excited to bring this workshop to you all, after a long period of gestation where me and my partner poured so much love and care into this workshop.
The time is ripe for a collective 'harvest' at Olive Tree Therapies where we'll come together for a meaningful weekend."
André (he/they), Bodyworker, Touch & Trauma Therapist
"I've been wanting to blend my theatre, movement and facilitation practice into a therapeutic workshop for such a long time.
The 'Embodied Armouring' weekend will be wonderfully warm, queer and a curious exploration of our protective patterns and our aliveness; all in an inclusive and supportive space."
Daniel (he/him), Facilitator & Trainee Relational Psychotherapist
