Have you experienced a diagnosis of cancer and are often turned away by massage therapists? If so and you think you might want to enjoy a relaxing massage, I can help you. Massage can make a huge difference when you're going through such a difficult jorney and it can help restore a better relationship with your body. I am trained by Cancer Support Scotland to adjust to your treatments in line with your medical history and clinical care plan. This includes alleviating pain and discomfort of surgical scar tissue or other treatment side effects – as well as providing relief from the emotional and physical symptoms of stress, anxiety and loneliness. Individuals who have had massages during cancer treatments have reported a range of positive outcomes such as improved sleep, better quality of life, improvement in mental capacity and alertness, esae of movement and relaxation (Cancer Council NSW, 2014). More information can be found in the FAQ's section. *Complimentary drink offered at the end of every treatment.
I require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. Cancellations on the day of the appointment and no shows will be charged at 100% of the treatment cost. This is because I may not be able to fill your appointment slot and still need to cover my costs. Please cancel as soon as possible if a foreseeable event is likely to prevent you from attending, for example, illness or adverse weather conditions. If you need to cancel your appointment at short notice, because of a long-term medical condition which varies from day to day, then we shall discuss the cost implications on a case by case basis. An invoice for any cancellation / ‘no show’ charges will be sent to you by email for payment by bank transfer within 7 days. Following a cancellation, payment must be received before any further massage bookings can be taken. It is important that our agreed appointment time and duration is adhered to. I appreciate that sometimes, things happen, and you may arrive a little later or need to leave a bit earlier than planned. This is fine, but I cannot make up the missed time by overrunning or adding time to subsequent appointments.
