Sports massage - 60 minutes
- 1 hr1 hour
- Edinburgh Chiropractic Clinic
This type of massage uses a combination of techniques (including stretches) and it is often used to prevent injury, help in the rehabilitation process and as a warm up/cool down for a sports event. A sports event could be anything however! Whether you're running a marathon, jogging, doing pilates or 'just' walking, a sports massage could make a world of difference to your fitness capabilities, performance potential and flexibility of joints and muscles. It also helps speed up the recovery and healing time for injured tissues. Please note massage should be avoided in the site of injury for at least 48 hours from when the injury happened. Sports massages are often done pre-event, post-event and as maintenance and this booking could be either. More information can be found in the FAQ's section. *Essential oils can be added to this treatment for an additional £3 *Complimentary drink offered at the end of every treatment.
I require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. Cancellations on the day of the appointment and no shows will be charged at 100% of the treatment cost. This is because I may not be able to fill your appointment slot and still need to cover my costs. Please cancel as soon as possible if a foreseeable event is likely to prevent you from attending, for example, illness or adverse weather conditions. If you need to cancel your appointment at short notice, because of a long-term medical condition which varies from day to day, then we shall discuss the cost implications on a case by case basis. If you are experiencing Covid19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive you may cancel at any time without incurring any charges. In these cases, you must not attend your appointment. An invoice for any cancellation / ‘no show’ charges will be sent to you by email for payment by bank transfer within 7 days. Following a cancellation, payment must be received before any further massage bookings can be taken. It is important that our agreed appointment time and duration is adhered to. I appreciate that sometimes, things happen, and you may arrive a little later or need to leave a bit earlier than planned. This is fine, but I cannot make up the missed time by overrunning or adding time to subsequent appointments.
